Negotiating for Results

This workshop is focused on setting in place principles for the development of robust negotiation skills. It will provide you with tools to promote effective negotiation communications and gives you techniques for turning face-to-face confrontation into side-by-side problem solving.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Define negotiation and identify steps for proper negotiation preparation
  • Understand how to negotiate effectively with different personality styles
  • Define principled negotiation and identify the four steps in the negotiation process
  • Learn bargaining techniques and strategies of inventing options for mutual gain and move negotiations from bargaining to closing


Negotiation

Negotiation techniques apply to a wide range of everyday activities and are used extensively at all levels of business, including sales, debt and loan negotiations, contracts negotiating, buying negotiations, salary and employment contracts and to countless other negotiating situations.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the meaning and conditions of negotiation
  • Identify the different negotiation styles
  • Learn how to negotiate with customers and suppliers


Negotiation Skills

This workshop will give participants an understanding of the phases of negotiation, tools to use during a negotiation and ways to build win-win solutions for all those involved.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic types of negotiation, the phases of negotiation and the skills needed for successful negotiating
  • Understand and apply basic negotiating concepts: WATNA, BATNA, WAP and ZOPA
  • Lay the groundwork for negotiation
  • Identify what information to share and what to keep to yourself


Networking (Outside the Company)

The Networking (Outside the Company) workshop will cover the importance of developing a core set of networking skills by managing and looking at the way people interact and seeing things in a new light in almost every aspect of their networking strategy.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and avoid obstacles
  • Implement networking principles
  • Use online tools
  • Prioritise contacts
  • Manage networks effectively


Networking (Within the Company)

In this workshop, participants will learn how internal networking is changing the workforce and what benefits can come from fully utilising and making connections with internal networking.
